Have a york compressor and while planning out the OBA setup, a guy suggested using my soon to be ordered metal tech family cage as air storage. Seen it done with bumpers and sounded pretty smart, but what do I know?

Anybody done this? Pros? Cons?

Thanks.

Its pretty easy, I did something similar with my sliders. All that was involve is tapping a hole and and setting up an airline. I use my two sliders to supplement my little arb compressor, works great and keeps the compressor from cycling so much.

It's one of those things that sounds 'neat' but not worth the hassle during assembly of the cage...

just mount a simple 2-3 gallon tank under the truck and be done... www.airbagit.com has plenty of inexpensive tanks made for vehicular use, installed a number of these in customer's trucks...

You don't need much tank with a good york setup. Been running air tools, air lockers, and filling tires on the trail for 3 years with my York, never had a tank.
