i love the murdered out 18's. that is what i wish i could do. but i couldn't resist the $750 price tag for a set of four km2's, which of course only had that price in the 15" range. go up to 16 and the price is another 100 per tire!

that was from tire rack. and that was to my door.

so when the day comes that i swap in a full float rear and have to upgrade to bigger than 15's, i will do 20s :grinpimp:

Land Rover. A disco setup right looks good and the range rover, to me, is the best looking suv I have ever seen. Not a hardcore wheelin look, but we had the 03 body style and it looked good! The only problem with them is you have to buy a flatbed to go with it. Unless you do a diesel conversion, You are going to have Triple A on speed dial! We had many issues with ours, and it spent some quality time on a flat bed, but everything was covered under warranty. As soon as it hit 75k and warranty was over, we sold it.

This too is my first cruiser and I look forward to reliability. :D

my foray into the realm of british "engineering" began at the ripe age of 16 when i got an mg-b. i loved that car more than life itself, and it was a roll of the dice trying to figure out what was going to break down next. and going one day without a stranding was a rarity.

then i bought a disco I in 00. it was a great rig. ultimately did an axle swap, put in a 60 rear and a 44 front and ran it with 35's. then sold it almost within 6 months of finishing the swap and the second owner wheeled the wee out of it. he really liked the suspension i built for it. so that was nice.

concurrent to the disco I, i bought the wife a 99 disco II, and within 4 days of bringing it home, i had to rebuild the entire top end and the fun didn't end there. for the year i had the II, i was constantly fixing something on it.

but ya, of course i dream of owning a defender 90 (i think i just got banned from MUD for saying that), but now having the fj80 has made me dream about that a lot less.

now i think if i were able to sell my rock buggy for 9 or 10 grand i would buy a 55 and put an 80 drivetrain with ls power....

Yea...those are sick and so is there price tag! Some of the people paying top dollar for those don't even take them out on a rainy day. There was a guy around town a while ago with one in flawless condition and perfect paint. I've been in them. Your not paying 40K for a smooth ride and plush interior. That 40K is for the drive train...USE IT! That's my two since on those.

I'd rather use half that to deck out my 80 and the other 20k to make it rain a da scrip club! :grinpimp:
