Hey all, every now and then I like to get my head out of the books to stop by and say hello. Matt, who are the guys holding up the sign?
I know my truck has been long been pushing up the daisies. You can tell by the picture that old blue already had one foot in the grave.

The guy on the left (plaid shirt) is Andy Litkowiak (Brother Andy). I think he's standing on Sheri and Larry Bodley's blue 40 with the fiberglass tub. They had a Fairey overdrive in it as well, IIRC.

The guy on the right (red shirt) is Jim Today, who was president of WCLC. He's standing on Brother Andy's green 40. At the time, Brother Andy had something of a fleet of Cruisers. This one ran pretty good, so it was the one he actually drove. It came with a Yakima rack, which Andy used for his Hi Lift jack. He liked to make fun of "Yuppies with Yakima racks," which was funny because I've had a Yakima setup in constant use since 1990.

Jim Today's FJ40 is actually directly behind Brother Andy. It was a khaki-colored early 40. He usually left the tow bar on it when he drove it, which you can see in the picture. It was the oldest 40 I'd ever seen until I moved to Colorado. Jim also had an FJ45 wagon, and was part of the FJ45 registry back in 96-97. At some point, the story I heard was that Jim sold all his Cruisers and moved on to other things. Too bad, because he was (and likely still is) a really great guy.

Jim also was the creator of the Elsie the Armadillo concept, as I recall. It went from coast to coast via Land Cruiser in 1997, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Land Cruiser in the U.S.
