I once found an business card while renovating an old building that had a 4 digit phone number. That means there were less than 10,000 phone lines in Calgary at that time. Probably '30s or maybe '40s.

It is still named K-M, parts and service are in the same building/address, and some of Henry's family continue to work there. The business is small and very old school.

The ad ran in 63 or 64.

I remember dialing 5 digit numbers in the 70's when I was a kid. 4 digits must have been exciting way back in the day.

Guessing the Darth Vader light that was mounted to the bottom of the dash is what they were talking about. 40s and 45 pickups had them.

Its not a 4 digit # it's 6, starts with MO , MO is the phone exchange
