Looking for both sides-spindles on out-to weld up to a trailer axle. In western CO, can pick up a couple of hours away.

I've got a great idea.... Come down to san antonio tx and help me with my mini disc conversion and I'll give you the parts off my 73

Don't know much about mini-brake conversions. Years ago I just swapped a 76 front axle under the 72. Now, I need that axle. Just goes to show-no matter what the boss says, never throw away a cruiser part.

you can fit those in a flat rate box usps costs 8 bucks need 2 so shipping from anyplace should only be 16.00 gotta be less than a couple hours of driving hope this helps

If you'd asked THREE WEEKS ago, I was in GJ with 17 drum front axles in a U-haul!!! Could 'uv made you a heck of a deal.

Oh well.

to bad there is no market for those my son and i took 12 front ends and 10 rears to the scrap yard but at 160.00 a ton at least we got something for them next is trannies and engines been storing this stuff for 20 years or more time to clean up

Yup, that's me- a day late and a dollar short. Don't want/need whole axle as I am building a trailer and not wanting to ship axle. Let me know on individual parts though.

Thanks

Iggy,

The post title isn't entirely accurate. I'm trying to build a trailer by using what everyone says are throwaway parts. I'll use everything on your list plus the hubs and grease caps as there won't be locking hubs. I was going to turn the back of the spindle to accept a 3 inch axle tube.

So I really don't need/want the whole axle.

Thanks

you know...i kept my stuff from my D/B coversion for just this kinda thing haha, to bad im currently in Finland with my parts on Vancouver island....the guy who helped me with the conversion thought i was crazy for keeping that stuff....but hey, figured i shouldnt chuck ANYTHING that can be strapped onto a cruiser:grinpimp:

I do still need this stufffor a trailer build over the winter. I'll know tomorrow if I was successful in scrounging some locally. I'll let you know.

What I'm looking for is everything including from the spindle on out-bearings, hubs, etc. I will either turn these to mate to an axle tube or I'll bolt spindles directly to some kind of adapter plate that I'll then weld to tube. Are these the parts that you have?

Thanks,
