This is my first FJ 40 motor teardown. I removed the pushrod galley cover and noticed the copper feed tube to the rockers has a small Nick in it. I could not find anything around could’ve done this so I am wondering if this is supposed to be this way?

You wouldn’t want the nicked area to leak oil. Looks like a major chunk of copper is gone. Wonder if the tube was vibrating and rubbing somewhere? Can’t imagine a PO would add a “pressure relief hole” never know though :hillbilly: I think @Rock40 built a line and documented it. I purchased a good used tube from a fellow mudder.

I didn’t think that was right. If it was meant to be oiled up there, it would’ve had a proper fitting. Thank you for the reply and I will have to hit the rock up for some more parts. Thanks again
