Decided to replace my oil pressure sensor today. Bad decision. Drained oil. Then put a socket on old non-working sensor. Sheered it off fairly quickly. 2 or 3 hours later, I have the the remnants removed and threads are still intact. Not sure if I should put any sealant on pressure threads or? I did a search here and I will check my FSM. I also am fairly certain that the threads are non metric 27 NPT?

Truck is a 1990 22RE. Canadian specs.

Yes I would put Teflon tape on the new sensor.

Threads are some odd British Pipe Thread, very close to 1/8" NPT but not quite.
