I bought a 2f 4 spped set up that i am replacing the 1f 3 speed. I pressure washed the 2f and found it to be leaking between the pan and skid plate. I dont know if this is at all a common issue? Can I use the 1f pan on the 2f motor or are there any differences?

Thanks

While installing my F engine into my 68 many years ago the skid plate caught on something and torn a spot weld causing the a leak. Removed the pan, cleaned and brazed the rivet. This was in the early eighties and still not leaking. I live in a dry region so rust is not a big concern but no matter where you live the inside is covered with oil would never rust.

This is inside the pan. I can't believe this is out of a 1975. The gaskets were petrified cork and looked to be original. The odometer on the donor was low miles and may have been true. It was a barn find. How can I identify it to be low mileage?
