Oil cooler or not (1 Viewer)

I have a 1989 Land Cruiser, and I’m trying to figure out what the benefits are to add an oil cooler or not. Anyone have any experience with it at all? Any recommendations how much does the oil cooler help lower the temperature? Thanks.

You can add an oil temp gauge and see if it gets into a range that will break down oil

Rather an odd way to look at your question but if Toyota thought woud would've need one they would have provided one.
