I'll be there (with thanks to Roger and STLCA). Picking Hawley up in Knoxville on Wednesday morning, meeting PBR for barbecue and then we'll head over to Murphy. Taking Mark back to the airport on Saturday. Somewhere in between those dates I guess I'll wheel the truck thing.

10 Days and counting for you all, I'll be over there in 6 Days, can't hardly wait.

If he does not have registration and insurance he will have to trailer his truck to the trail head and will not be allowed to take it off the trailer in the campground.

State Inspection was the main thing he was sweating, the other 2 is easy.

North Carolina does not require inspection for out of state vehicles

and they only inspect in state cars once. and then there done

should just be insurance and registration.

Smog in the last year or so. And only applies (ironically) to late model vehicles. 1996 and newer, I think. But I've been here for 15 years or so and we've always had a yearly inspection.

My 'puter says 854.1 miles from The 3X's to Crawford's Camp ... 14 hours and 24 minutes of drivin'. :grinpimp:

With my Junk and The Rokbus on The Executive Transporter behind the Big Ol' Dodge and The Grape Ape behind Josh's Duramax ... reckon we'll be turnin' some heads along the way.

Just got off the phone with Josh and he's hopin' to get Sunday off work.

So ....

Plan is to pull out Sunday mornin' and drive the 760 miles to Chattanooga and get a cheap hotel room for the night and then cover the last hun'erd miles in the daylight Monday mornin'. Should be drinkin' in camp by noonday.

Well,

the offer still stands for a place to crash...we'd have to find where to put the Big Ol Dodge, and Josh's rig, but i've got a few ideas.

If'n ya'll just want to do the hotel thing, best location is prob just off I75 on the east end of town near the mall...Shallowford Road exit (exit 5). Several places to pick from and some good eating close by.

We're also headed out monday morning so I'll PM you my cell so we can keep in touch...

Have a safe trip!

Me and Team Tolleson will leave Monday AM after he gets the kiddies to school. I have to stop on Tuscaloosa to pick up my Dad. We should be at the camp around 4-5 pm. See yall then. Can't wait. My Dad is in for a treat. Great wheelin' and meeting the White Trash all in one trip! I guess I need to give him a little light weight briefing before we get there.

Later,

Outstanding, just remember to pick up beer before you get to NC, as they don't sell beer in Cherokee County.

Kowboy now needs smelling salts....
