I have a 1978 FJ40 that my Dad gave me in December. (Towed it back from Cali to Havenot. I have a 2f but it is not running. Need the funds to rebuild and get it back on the road. Will post pics soon.

the 77 i got from a friends uncle near hillsborough. I don't know if he had it advertised for sale. I'm just tackling the rust now, nothing glamorous. it sat for a long time.
Ok, the 40 is finally kinda done
She's running great, I finally got all the body panels and soft top & doors complete and on. Only 2 more footman loops to drill, tap and install. There are some fittment issues with the bib, new OEM fenders and soft doors. The aluma tub's holes need to be massaged a little. The bib is a little crooked and sticks out a little from under the hood
And of course as I drive it, the oil seal on my crank shaft pulley decided it wants to start leaking, it's not bad, just annoying leaving landcruiser love stains where ever my travels take me.
Figures it would start now that I have the whole front end back together

Exactly my thoughts - looks great!! Makes me kinda regret selling Casey's rig...but motivates me more to get my azz in the garage and continue my build!
Thanks guys. I plan on driving it around locally for a bit more and then do a retorque and fluid change before I try a longer trip.

I haven't officially become a member yet but just found this thread. I used to have an '81 Toyota long bed 4WD pickup until someone ran a red light and totaled it. Would like to get another but not sure my wife likes that idea. Currently I have a '96 Tacoma 2WD PU and a '70 FJ40 that is pretty much stock.
Here are are a couple pics.
