Welcome.... post up some info about yourself in our member thread

Jon,

Mine is a little better than Jason's. It does not start to vibe until around 60. It's 180.00 to retube and balance or I think 380.00 for a new toyo shaft from Cdan.

Greensboro Craigslist

I just saw this on the Gboro list. Maybe a good buy for someone. Unaffiliated.

Have you driven an SM420? They are interesting....had one in my last 40. Super low crawl gear, but the rest of the tranny has very odd gear spacing. PITA on the street and everyone behind me would groan when I shifted into 1st on the trail. :grinpimp:

WTB 95-97 Locked FZJ80

I've been searching for a late model, clean 80 with lockers for a while now but haven't found exactly what I want. Color doesn't matter, nor does mileage as long as it is sub 200K. Prior HG work is good but not mandatory.

I've got plenty of time so no hurry but I'd pull the trigger if the right one popped up.

PM me if you know of one or happen to come across one...

Below are some TLCs I've recently come across - no affiliation to any of them BTW, a few examples are $$$:

87 FJ60, Kannapolis: 1987 Toyota LandCruiser

92 FJ80, Durham, cheap, needs work: 1992 Toyota Landcruiser

Haven't had much time to take pics and remove parts lately, and will be out of town wheeling the next two weekends. Here is a list of parts I know are good. I will add pics and prices as I have time. And it is a '73 FJ40, not a '72.

Body tub - 98% rust free
frame
front fenders
hood
grill
running boards
rear half doors
full front doors
windshield frame
t-case
axles
driveshafts
aftermarket 6-point roll cage
bikini top
aftermarket dash cap cover
front bucket seats - good condition
long jump seats

And lots of small parts and pieces.

Greg, let's talk about those axle shafts....

FJ Cruiser at GMC dealer on Old Wake Forest

I saw this FJ Cruiser at the GMC/Cadilliac dealer on Old Wake Forest road. It was lifted, had an ARB winch bumper (no winch) and some aftermarket wheels. Price was $26,900.
