In Shelby now can check L&L

Please do. Looking to see if it has a windshield, if it has a front clip (core support, inner fenders), the color/condition of the interior as well as how the rear quarters look.

I'm still looking for a spare 315.

L&l in Shelby has or had a 60. The metal was good last time I saw it. It was not much left last time I saw it

If the price is right, no rust, and still there, I could also use the upper and lower rear hatch. I'd be interested to throw in on group buy with the rear fenders as my primary goal.

Just musing here but would anyone be interested in a 2005 VW Jetta MKIV (is the BEW not the 2005.5 with the dreaded early BRM motors in it)

190K

Has new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing
new temp sensor and switch (green upgraded kind)
New brake pads all around
New shocks in the rear
New (2) tires with the others at 75%
Fixed the common break on the glove box latch
New lift pump
New filters all around 2k miles ago

Needs:
New trans (manual trans) Went out.

I'm just not sure I want to sink the money into it and then pay to transfer it across the country.

If it was paid off i'd just yank the motor for a toyota truck swap but I don't feel like paying off the $1900 to do that and then still have to get andrea a new car when she gets to seattle.

I'd be interested in some parts if this is going to be parted out. B-pillar seat belt covers, some seat fabric, rear speaker grill/hardware, grill and light surrounds.

Scott, check out this thread for the B pillars. I have a set on order, Jason is a good guy.
B-Pillar Reproduction Panels

I'm looking for a spare 315 as well, if we can find a decent set on Craigslist I'll split it with you.

Sounds good to me. I would prefer a mud terrain, aka Man Tire, but anything in 315/75/16 will do.

Sorry thought I put that in the post.

After looking around on ebay, craigslist, vw sites i'm going to say 2k for mud price... thats a little under what i've seen and is right at what I owe on it.
Forgot to add that water pump and timing belt was replaced by the PO right before I bought it.

Does it drive at all or will it need a tow?

This is pretty neat, I'm not well versed in 4runners but seems like a fun truck at a good price(?)

1st gens tend to get beat right to hell, and often have shi**y hack-job mods. That one (from what I can see in the attachment looks pretty good). If its as good as it looks, that's a great price.
'88 3.0 V6 will want to check for any signs of issues with the head gasket.

Girl at my gym mentioned her roommate has a 2nd gen 4Runner with 150k miles on it. I told her if it ever was for sale to let me know. I assume someone on Mud would want it. Are 2nd gens popular?

Great rigs if well maintained. If you don't mind the slow lane, the 2nd gens were still available with a 22R-E which won't get you there fast, but will go a billion miles. You could also still get a 5 speed.
I've had two 2nd gens. One i beat the piss out of doing stupid high school things. Sadly, one day I was in an an altered state and responsibly let my sober buddy drive us to get some pizza and he promptly rolled it into a ditch and totaled it.
The 2nd was a 22R-E/5-speed combo. I towed a double axle U-Haul with my motorcycle and all my worldly possessions across country and back with that rig (I wouldn't recommend this). I had to trade it in on a Tacoma when I was starting a business, but it was going strong with 160k on the clock.
