It sure is pretty.

I think it'd be a nice thing to put on a spinning rotisserie and look at....

Personally, I like to drive my cars... that thing is just too perfect...

I was thinking about that and I came to this conclusion: If I had $90k to spend on a Land Cruiser (I don't). It would in all likelihood be a 4th, 5th,6th, whateverth vehicle. This leads to the thought that I probably have about 1/2 million $ in vehicles, so what's $90k.
Since I'm living in a fantasy at the moment, why not buy a top notch resto (resto-mod) and drive the sh*t out of it?
When I have a 1/2 million $ in vehicles I will gladly demonstrate this.

Yeah, I get that logic. But it's not about the money necessarily. I don't like ruining things. My parents upbringing I suppose. They would buy stripped down Hondas and wash and wax them and treat them like gold.... Which is why my son now gets to drive a 94 Del Sol with 130k miles on it. He learned to take care of it too - learned how to claybar it last week. Unfortunately, he was backed into at work (parking lot - he wasn't even in it) and had a deer run into the side of it - both accidents within the last week.

I do not see it as ruining it by driving it. If I could afford a $90K truck I could afford to keep it pristine, while driving it. I am Jay Lenno fan, he drives his stuff.

Looking for some decently price spindles for the front of my 80.

I believe someone here was in search of a new 80 bumper.

CL .... no pic

Rollbar for sale: make offer - even ridiculous ones

Came with my 40, was told it was a family rollbar for the 40 but it's not the stock one, I don't think.

Would need some tape work or you could strip it off and leave it uncovered, its solid and rust free aside from some surface rust on the mounts that should be cleaned up.

I don't need it, would rather someone that does need it, or will need it at some point has it. Versus it sitting out in the rain.

Send me your address and a good time to see it, I am very interested.

Dave cut back the tape on the seams and it's a mess under there. Now going to the scrap heap!

Thanks Dave - and sorry you had to come out here to cut tape.. :)

Thanks James. The trip wasn't a loss, I did get to meet another forum member. Some of the other forums I am on do not have the local members like this one and it is nice to put a face with the posts.

The roll bar isn't a total loss, maybe someone could use it, I am spending so much on my 40 I am a little pickier than I should be.

Paid $85 for the pair I purchased from LKQ then I paid for recovering. All things considered it is a good price if they really look as good in person as they do in the photo.

Plus they are very comfortable.

Just noticed, the drivers seat isn't electric.

I am looking for a rear license plate holder for a '74 and up FJ40. The tail gate I purchased from RealSteelCruiserParts.net is drilled and tapped for this plate holder rather than the one that came on my vehicle.

For reference, mine came from the same guy and he took $300 for them but mine were electric. Perhaps $250 then?
