Beautiful cruisers Steve, i was lookin through before that kinda getting depressed, but thank god someone saved the history.

BTW what is the story on 25s? Are they military versions of the 40s?

OK. Here We Go..

Hey that worked! ;) Looks like someone made those. Pretty nice, look like they only take a quarter turn to open. If they work good I'd keep them.

The originals had a stud on the top bracket and a nut below. Every time you drop the glass you have to unscrew the nut completely which is a pain. :frown:

The FJ25 was made from 1955-1960 and was the predecessor to the 1961 FJ40. :)

Yes It works perfectly fine and dosent look like it is made by somebody, because I have given a closer look to it and the way it has finish it just look like stock. I dont know if someone will put that kind of effort to make one, specially the other kind is available so easily and inexpensive. anyways fact is it just works fine. So I am gonna keep it.

Another mystery is the sometimes there/sometimes not apron air inlet. Steve's is from Hawaii so it may have been a domestic model.

This is another clue that mine might be from someplace else.

I always wished that Toyota used the old suitcase-style latches on the windshield that the early Jeeps had. Even the knurled knobs on the 40s are a pain to pull out just to drop the glass.

That quick release you got, Archie, is pretty clever. (But someplace there's a bicycle that can't keep its wheels on.)

Amazing how an FJ25 in that condition can tow an FJ62 up onto a trailer.

:D :D :D

So Mike does the FJ60 (not an FJ62) go with it? Your going to need a cruiser wagon now that your FJ45LV is gone. I have my wife trained, she caught the FJ60 mirrior.

I'll be looking for a pig in the spring :D One that actually drives and you can't see the ground through the floors. I'll get another LV once room opens up in the shop for another project.
