For all you NOLA guys, a couple of my friends and I are coming into town Thursday for the Red Hot Chili Peppers Concert and I wan wondering if you all knew of any good/safe places to park near the Arena

Anyway, I have an excellent spot to park in New Orleans. Promptly direct your party to the lower 9th ward. When you see the purple pant wearing Flava Flav impersonator with a mad hatter top hat and wall clock hanging from his neck, you'll know its a good spot. Park your rigs in the closest abandoned property and leave your windows down to get the good New Orleans smell to permeate the upholstery.

Bingo....parking problem solved.

Interesting and dangerous, yes, exciting and dangerous, yes, beautiful and dangerous, yes..do you see where I am going with this? Dangerous and dangerous? Keep your situational awareness and you will be fine. I let my 18 year old stepdaughter park on the street, and I live Downtown. Actually Downtown/CBD is one of the safest areas of the city. You will be fine.

You'll be fine, I'm just messing around. There are parking lots near the arena that you can use if you don't mind paying for convenience and security. I recommend it if not for anything other than just not having to worry about looking for a spot, but I'm lazy and i also have not been able to enjoy the convenience of parking garages since I purchased a big ass light bar so it sounds awesome to me.
