Or you could mount itto your roof rack

Thanks guys, I saw all of these ideas on the blue room threads. I think I have found a solution using some longer bolts on the side where the M-Pac mounts, without having to fabricate a piece of flatbar. I just want to makes sure that it is secure and does not come loose while wheeling or in an accident, and I don't want any more rattles. It has to be snug and quiet. I have been working on getting rid of all of the rattles in my truck(no small job I might add) and I don't want to add more to it. I have another smaller extinguisher in my gear box but I wanted a larger one mounted within easy access. I will let you know how it turns out once I quit breaking s*** in the process.

Jonas- I recommend C-channel instead of a flat bar. I can adjust where I put everything without having to re-drill a hole. This has been great since I move the stuff all the time. I'll snap a photo in a few.

Here's my setup...

thats a great idea Brian, just use the bolt which secures the object to the rail to also hold it in place. I think thats what I'll do when I get to that project, thanks

I gotta figure out one for mine also. I think a mount like y'all's should do the job.

I can't do it today, but keep asking. Every couple of weeks a few of us get together for lunch. Its usually Vietnamese, but we are flexible.

You can do this but having the option to move the mount around is great. I've changed the location of all this stuff a bunch of times. Trying to make sure Captain has as much room as possible back there.

Awesome., we usually go on the West bank because of Groper and Bart work over there. I am self employed, so I am pretty flexible.

Awesome. maybe we can set up lunch on Friday.

What a fxxxing hassle just to mount a fire extinguisher. All my fault but I broke the first mount, got a HD mount to replace it and naturally it is too big. My lunch hour and lots of curse words later it's finally done. Some days I am all thumbs and no patience. It doesn't work out well when you are trying to do things correctly.
