Way to much fabing left to do, before paint goes on! If you think that is bad, you ought to see it now. I do have it off of the truck now and have resumed work on it so it may be done by the next time you see me.

I'm glad you brought up paint though. Should I paint it the same color as my rims, see below, or stick with black. If I paint it the color of my rims, I will paint my sliders and front bumper to match.

Same color as wheels!!! It will separate you from the crowd!

Man looking at your 80 confirms my desire to move up to 35's. As soon as i think it is financially feasable to regear to 4:88s I'm on it.

Oh wait, are those 37s?

Yes, yes they are. oh well I still want 35's.

37's are the new 35's in the 80 world.:p 35's would look good on an FJ.

Those are the stock color on those wheels right? Those are the wheels that were on my old 4wd Sequoia and mine were that color stock as I recall.

These were originally the light silver when I bought them. I rattle canned them with some Duplicolor Gunmetal, I believe. It's an automotive touch up paint sold at Advance Autoparts. If you wheel, then rattle can is nice for touch ups after a night of shine induced mud doggin!:hillbilly:

I keep hearing about the shine. I want!!

Knock off or not, I think I am getting the Pathfinder Recovery Gear snorkel as a Valentines day gift from the wife. They are selling them from the Toyota of Arlington dealership so I will at least have a resource if there is a problem. My wife thought that for less than half the price of the Safari snorkel that she could justify purchasing it for me. I think she is right.:D I will let you guys know what she decides and If I get it I will also keep you posted on whether or not I think the snorkel is worth $200 . The dice are in the air I guess.
