I went with a 2008, as I liked the ~$30k price point instead of the ~$45k price point of a 2013. There's a lot of modifications you can do with the price difference. If you aren't going to modify it too much, it makes sense to get the newer car.

The great thing about the 200 series is that the middle row is roomy enough that you can throw all 3 kids there. My kids are ages 12, 7, and 5, and the 12 year old fits in the middle with room to spare, even with normal-size car seats (boosters) surrounding her.

The not so great thing about a 200 series is that if you have 3 kids and two of them in car seats that you need to buckle, third row access is going to be difficult, as you have to fold one side or the other to reach the rear, and you won't be able to put both car seats on the drivers side wider fold down and use the latches.

I've had visitors where we have to deal with lots of car seats and simultaneously have one person use the third row. A strategy is to leave one side of the 3rd row folded up. And make the older child climb in and out through the rear hatch.

Legit strategy. When I had 3 car-seat/boosters going, I was in an 80 Series and utilized the sliding windows to insert kids from the side.

Since graduating to the 100 Series, rear hatch entry has been successfully used many times.

I have a BNIB Slee Battery Tray and ARB Compressor mount if anyone in California is interested. Also a BNIB set of OME 2721 springs.

Edit: These are all pretty heavy, so I would be better off not shipping the springs, and probably not the other items either.

Thank you for your advice :-). Our 15'4runner has a 3rd row. We just have our oldest climb through the lift gate , when there is more than one car seat in the 2nd row. Probably will do the same with the LC/LX. Was thinking about a Sequoia, but the wife and I decided on get what I want. Though the Sequoia is nice I read a lot that there was not much in comparison to the LC as far as build quality etc.. Plus alot more off road capability with the LC/LX. And even with 2 car seats in the middle row access to the 3rd will be through the lift gate. I know there is more cargo room behind 3rd row and I am guessing more leg room. 3rd row though would be used mostly for kids anyways, as mine are still young 5 and 2 and one on the way. we are keeping the 15' 4runner that is hers. Mine will be the LC/LX and would be using the 3rd row every now and then and on road trips etc. I will do light mods.I.E. lift/tires etc.. I used to wheel with the FJ Bruisers off road club

He said he could not afford to let someone else have all the fun.
That is a classic. I'll have to remember that one!

Carfax is clean too... WTF

They TRIED to make it a "compact" SUV.....

If the owner rear-ended someone and was at fault they may not have filed an insurance claim. Carfax won't be alerted unless there's a claim or a police report

Introducing our new "Really Hidden Winch" mount. We guarantee it will fit or we will make it fit

Either there was no report made or it happened recently. It takes some time for these things to show up on the Carfax.

Carfax will also show open recalls that have been done already that haven't posted to its system.

Has any of you had 3 full car seats your LC/LX 200 series? We have a 5yr and 2yr and one on the way and I wan't to get a 2nd 3rd row SUV. I currently have a 4th gen 07' 4runner. Wife has the 15'limited 4runner w 3rd row. I was torn between 2nd gen Sequoia and 200 Series LC/LX. She has the kids 95% as she is a stay at home mom. Mine would be my daily driver plus road trips here and there . Any feed back is welcomed. :) Right we do as most do with the 3rd row. Just have the oldest climb through the hatch which is no problem with us.

Only one of ours is in a booster right now.

We have 3 full sized car seats in my LC right now. The outside two are Diono Radians and the middle is a Diono Rainier. The only way to fit it reverse was to pit it in the middle. In my wife's Sequoia there is way more room and the middle seat goes behind the driver seat. We just switch cars occasionally to pit some miles on mine. We had a normal Graco infant seat before the Rainier and it fit just fine behind the driver seat.

For itti bitty kids nothing beats a minivan with captain chairs in second row. They are far more practical than a three row SUV for car seats access, stroller storage and all the other stuff that goes with the under 4 age.
