OEM Trailer Socket Wiring (1 Viewer)

I've got an original (judging by the wiring) Koito Trailer Socket and Switch. I'm trying to, first, figure out if it's working, and second, hook up a simple 4 wire socket to the vehicle. The socket is a unique 6 wire, radial blade design. This is on my 78 NON-US 40.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this beast?
What does the switch do? It's a DPDT.
Is there any kind of adapter that will fit this or should I just wire in a 4 wire pigtail?
