Any leads on strap material btw? I've got nothing- no hooks, hardware, strap, nothing...

are you talking about the door straps? they are still aval from toyota ya know.

here are some pics of the pieces that i cut out and replaced...i was able to save some of the curved section. the original piece was a square channel from a metal cabinet that i had laying around. i found a nice metal slide to use to hammer the sides down to a near perfect fit of the weatherstripping. the knotches in the metal turned out to be handy when i was bending the pieces for the end curves. (at first I hated that it was knotched...but when its all together you cant see it.)
