I'm on the verge of dropping out, I'm just a camper but I had dessert! Getting too cold for the wife, may just hit Sedona for the day.

Thank you but we were just camping on this one. Thought it'd be nice to bring the wife up for once but it's starting to get a bit cold for her (our) comfort.

Tex, Id call for the hotel asap, they fill up quick up there! Keep your options open for the run, sometimes there is a last minute cancellation.

cant wait! Now to find where I packed that winter coat....

we found a pet friendly hotel in camp verde.
will be meeting everyone at safeway Saturday morning!

buying the kids new coats, as they outgrew the ones they never wore last winter.

@Saddletramp @Abigail I'll be camping and should be up Friday night. My plans are to be back for dinner Saturday and to Camp again. I will leave the salsa with someone just in case I get tied up.

Not sure what is going on with our crazy weather up on the rim. Weather channel shows 90% chance of rain today, 20% Friday, 80% Saturday and 50% Sunday. This is for Happy Jack but probably close. Would plan on possible rain and bring rain gear if you have it. Weather wouldn't be as bad if it weren't so windy. Anyone in Flagstaff have a some feedback on your current weather?

Im hearing: No dust on the trails and it will be a little chilly. After this summer that sounds pretty good.

The wind is the only thing that would be a pain.

It has been raining all day. Really haven't seen the sun shine all week. Very Portland-esque. Expect some mud out there!

Funny they reduced our chances for rain earlier for today. Been raining since. Does remind me a lot of Portland. Spend seven years in the Willamette Valley growing up. In a couple of Portland subdivisions and Albany. Just as long as we don't get a ice storm like we had a few winters can deal with it.

I grew up in the Seattle area so rain does not bother me.

After dissent dropped out yesterday, I saw an opportunity to bring some juicy watermelon for dessert on Saturday. Hopefully, y’all are good with that
The wife and I will be driving up from Tucson after work on Friday. We expect to arrive around midnight. Friday night, we’ll camp away from the group to not disturb. We’ll meet up with everyone at Safeway Saturday morning.
Also, I’d appreciate an air-up if airing down is required for the trail. I’m still piecing together gear and don’t yet have a walkie. If someone has a spare maybe I can borrow. Thanks!
