2B engine would be a pain to get parts for. Also, having a soft-top custom made plus bows will be expensive

It's not an 1982. It's more likely a late 80 or very early 1981. The vin is too low for a 1981 or 1982.

Oh, and 2b parts aren't that hard to find... most of the stuff is still avilable from intl toyota.
