charge!

I just called my local dealer and they told me the installed price is $1,268.00 - should be in their system tomorrow and available for delivery next week.
FYI the hitch receiver is a pretty easy install if you've got a buddy and an impact wrench so you can save yourself like $1,000.00 in labor if you're so inclined.

Hopefully it's available throughout the rest of the country and not just that dealership. 🤞

I've got myself and a floor jack :)

Now if I could just get one of the dealers in my state to actually order it rather than saying it'll be a few days before it's in the system.

The closest dealer (10 miles) wants $768 (before tax) for the hitch and $500 for installation. I called the next closest (20 miles) dealer and they will sell the hitch to me for $575 (before tax) and $462 for installation. I don't have the necessary equipment/setup to install myself - so, I'll head to the dealer for installation.

I was told there is a "3 hitches per week, per dealer," allocation limit. I'm in the allocation for next week with the dealer I selected.

Just ordered an OEM hitch for $575 in SOCAL. Plan is to install myself using my floor jack and swear words.

Edit: wasn’t clear about what I ordered.

Careful fellas, lotta red flags out there w/NYTOP in regards to "we don't accept any liability for the design and consequence for the use of our products," check the GXOR groups for more info. Wouldn't throw this caution out there if it wasn't a genuine concern, but worth some research for those looking to use this company's products...

If anyone sees them listed on a dealers website that has reasonable shipping and would let me know I’d appreciate it.

The dealers in my state don’t want my money it seems.

Hey guys - about to push our 470 to my daughter and pull the trigger on a 2020 CPO 460 Premium. The one I've located and want has no hitch receiver! WTAF. Short search for OE parts shows a dead end. In addition, the OE maxes at 5k I think (despite the 6500 vehicle rating) and my boat pushes right up close to 5k. I've read through this, discounted the NY Parts idea and am thinking the only workable thing to do is hopefully find a wrecked 460 and part one out? Any other ideas? I'd be scared to death to just buy that little Curt bumper piece and try to tow any distance with that. Does anyone have an update on class-IV availability for these? Was there ever an OE hitch rated for 6500?

If you aren’t using a weight distribution hitch, you are maxed out at 5k regardless of what hitch you bolt to the car.

Don’t be scared of the 4 bolt Curt, be scared of buying something that looks tough but has no testing to back it up and no pedigree to stand behind if something happens. The Curt hitch might look wimpy, but it’ll be safe and it will save you a small fortune if you are towing 5k or less.

Class IV 460 hitch is now available for sale again… a few have already gotten them

Picked one up locally in SOCAL, was $575. Install wasn't too bad, and is made easier by removing the exhaust from the hanger, using a large (24" long) breaker bar to remove the tie down hook, and using a 1/2" torque wrench on the big bolts. Just make sure to sort your large bolts by length before you get started. I did not pay careful enough attention to bolt length and lost some time unbolting and measuring all of them after I realized that there were different lengths.

I'm reasonably strong and found a solo install manageable using my floor jack to assist, however, if you don't have dad/old guy strength yet, it'll go on easier with a friend or a transmission jack.

What is the torque spec? I just ordered mine.

M8s to 18 lbf

M12s to 65 lbf

Some people on the other form talked about the bolts “yielding”, but I don’t think that is what they felt, I’d expect these to be graded bolts which are generally less ductile. My suspicion is that people are feeling the spacer plates compress since they are not ground flat. In other words, keep torquing after it feels tight ;) since max torque on a m12 grade 8 is like 140 lbf.
