Kuuner - Don't be shy, if you like cruisers and beer you'll fit right in. We don't bite.. well Nutley does but we made him get his shots. :hillbilly:

Helocat - Those a-pillars you bend are really sweet.

Good to see you guys the other night. Glad you made it home Jim. Kuuner, I am still a newbie too, and if you bring beer... at least they act like they like me :)

Hope to see you sometime.

THANKS AGAIN IAN!

started working on my treeroot style x-memeber tonight
reason:

anyone know if the top and bottom donuts are the same? Looking to just switch places to get the assembly where it needs to be. Reiterated once again if you haven’t figured out by now, I AM A CHEEP BASTARD :hillbilly:

Also since I have this SOB torn apart again, my rear main seams to be leaking even though I just changed it :frown:, anyone know what the damage is on an OEM one?

Here is the plate on the xcase, and the tranny mount to be used

Need to go get metal like usual to continue forward. It’s not going to be identical to treeroots because my older tub is different and doesn’t have the same space under there.

and since certain peeps seamed to be fascinated with my front d-shaft, here is a pic of yokes after they got out of the mill.

In my yard, there are extra doughnuts that were on the 40 frame that is leaning against the wall. I believe they are laying in the battery tray under or around the engine.

You're on!

Castle Rock is Ten minutes from me. I meet one of my employees at the Safeway once a week to work together.

Getting the 40 out of the shop Monday. Put her in there cuz I was away on biz for the week and wanted progress while I was gone. Got lazy and had the brakes done with a new radiator to boot. Mechanic (Rocky Mountain Cruisers) said my body was pristine. I hope he was talkin' about the truck. Mechanically, it's white trash...synchro's are gone so I grind it to find it. Leaks like a Vegas call girl (That's where I was for the week...workin' I promise!). I don't want to drop the lunch to rebuild a three speed so I'm gonna drive her till she breaks and then upgrade to the NV4500 and the Tomato Juice V8. I am hopin I'll be running with you guyz when she breaks!

looks good..looks like a PITA to make that plate and get the bolt holes lined up.

i just got an AA style sm465-3spd t-case... i don't have it hooked up yet but does anybody know off the top of there head if shaft protrudes through the nosecone or can i flat plate be bolted there to do the "treeroot" style t-case x member..... thanks alot guys

hyjack overrr.r..r...

I'm pretty sure that the AA style converter allows the use of the pto, which means that the shaft protrudes out the back, so no, I don't think you can use the simple plate design, but I don't think it would be to hard to make a piece that allows it, although clearance would be a PITA

Oh and with hole line up, that is what bridgeports are for ;)

:flipoff2:

on another note, I hate when I see things that I dig after I already made my junk :frown:

I really dig this thing, wish I would have followed through with putting bends in the c-pillar, looks really good.

Very nice! I like how you simplified it. Let me know how close it puts your T-case to the tranny tunnel. I think i may have some clearance issues on mine.

Zack.. What are you doin with the DS yokes? no more square tube?
