Nut size for Oxygen Sensor bolts on 94LC

Need a pair of nuts for one of my O2 sensors. Man that sucker is loud!!

The only searchable find was an old post with the following part number listed on a 1996 non LX Lexus.

90179-08059 nut (o2 sensor nuts) I dont know if they would fit.

Does anyone know the size? Was hoping to get the nut size and thread type from the hardware store, so I dont have to drive 30 miles to the nearest dealer.

If no one chimes in, call CDan or Beno at American Toyota in New Mexico. They would know.
 
The ones I replaced on my 97 needed to fit around an M8 x 1.25. Found that bolt at a hardware store then tracked down the nuts to fit.
 
They are indeed m8x1.25

You can use any m8 nut but they will likely loosen off over time. Factory o2 sensor nuts have a locking sleeve portion to keep them tight.

In other words get the genuine ones and swap them on at your earliest convenience if you use generic ones as a quick fix

Is 90179-08059 the right part number?

My oxygen sensor nuts must have walked off...

Also, would anyone happen to know the size of the nut (wrench size?). We're in Missoula and I don't have my tools.

Looks right.

I believe it's 8mm thread, so it will be a 12mm head on the nut.

Thank you! I appreciate your help. I'll see if the dealer has those tomorrow. Otherwise, I'll find some other M8 nuts to use in the meanwhile.

I bought flanged nuts from O'Reilly's. They may be 13mm wrench size.

Thread size posted above is correct.
