That sucks..... Sorry bud.

First step at having an non-moon roof. Disconnect the power! If this works at not being able to open the roof. Then ima put a bead of lap sealant around the edge.

WOOPOW

WooPow!!

So I'm under there this weekend... and i notice a new leak, transfer case rear output seal... dang. No biggie, I'll just order a seal, pop the flange and install it (thinking it's like a axle dif seal...). WRONG! Gotta pull it from the inside of the case?! FUGGIN WHAT?!
So, I guess I'm spending my tax refund on the marlin gear... cause I ain't dropping that case twice! Might as well overhaul it all at once...
@bhmmapping you've done this a few times recently... wanna play? LOL!

No need to drop the case. Just pull the rear housing, throw away the viscous coupler, replace the output seal and bearing, and put it back together. It should be an hour or two job, unless you try to over tighten one bolt and crack the housing.

I think the marlin gears can go in the same way, also no need to drop the case.

Let me know when you want to do it.

Speaking of transfer cases, I still need to help Scott finish his swap. Once that is done we will have an extra case to rob parts from.

Speaking of cases! That was my original plan was to find one rebuild it with the gear, and then just swap them out. Being a sealed case, it's not a messy swap.
Lemme know! I'd love to buy that case!

We'll talk tomorrow night.

I haven't talked to Scott in a while but pretty sure he is just waiting for help to finish it up and is too nice to ask. He already said he just wants the bad one gone.

I was going to pull the rear housing off to replace my cracked one, but mine isn't leaking so I am going to let it be for now.

DUDE! I wondered why yall never called me back! LOL. Didn't realize yall never got back up in it... Holler at me and I'll come join in!

Friend let me have this thing. 60x60 Wilderness Rack with a whole buncha brackets...

Drove down and slapped it on...

Wouldn't take nothing for it.

Stopped at Mecca on the way home and walked the dog under the NEW trees! Take that Harvey!

It's HUGE! Hangs off both sides way too much. Hope to be able to cut prolly 6" out the middle, and welder it back up...

no pictures of the trees?

what's the tubing size on that thing?

Plenty o' pics of them things... and videos!

no clue the size tubing... you gone make one?

1" maybe?
How much you got? I need some to extend it...

We put a freebie Wilderness rack on Bertha not long ago, it hangs off the sides too. Ours was missing all the slats that run front to back. I've been thinking of using wood slats and paracord to lash it to the cross bars.

60x60 it appears! If it hangs off Bertha... it's HUGE! Wood slats would look AUsome with Bertha's wood grain panels!

I have a good bit of 1". I have to build French a rack but I should have a good bit left over. Extending should be easy, it looks like the sides are bolted in with plates?

exactly right. It should not take nothing to extend it 24". It will need to cross bars as well, but still no big deal.

I need to do something sooner than later though. As in: This week.

I thought you sold all your stuff? how you gone build anything?
