whoops...some how i got your projects mixed up...I have mini stuff if you want to bring that. ;)

The ToyBox case is mini truck. I need the mount on the bottom of the t-case that bolts to the crossmember. I just need to borrow it for a little while :)

Checked mine as well. No luck :frown:

Have you tried posting on pirate? Tons of mini guys over there. Have you checked with Molle about a new one?

Chris,

Duh, I just read you had a CDL switch on order. I was going to ask if you've driven it with the center diff locked but you're currently stuck in low range only. You can trouble shoot the issue using the ECT switch IIRC and the pin 7 mod. Once you get the new switch in swap things back. That should at least get you rolling towards a solution, especially if you need to order parts.

I've done the 7 pin mod and temporarily stolen the hazard switch for the CDL. With a little help from Bob, I think I've narrowed my issue down to the front drive shaft. Specifically, it is probably the J-springs-need-to-pony-up-for-a-double-cardon-drive-shaft issue. I'm comfortable driving it as is for now.

I traced a squeak to the RR e-brake drum. Missing one of the hold-down pins. Will see what I can get through NAPA or O'Reilly first thing in the morning.

Oh, and quit reading and finish painting Kris.

2:00 AM Finished welding ramps for the trailer and got one slider welded on. I'll tackle the other side tomorrow.

Remind me again...are my welds suppose to look like a stack of dimes or a cluster of grapes:hillbilly:

When I went to Razorback Ramble in June in the LX, all I did was check the oil and tie pressure before I left. It is amazing what concerns me on this trip since Shannon and Cooper will be with me.

I flushed the PS and transmission yesterday. Also temporarily fixed the e-brake squeak (pay no attention to the copper wire sticking out of the backing plate).

Now I think I'm ready to go...

Got home yesterday from the World of Outlaws race Friday nightto find parts missing from my box of ToyBox parts  I'm headed to KC today to meet up with Erik & Rob to try and this sucker built today and stabbed tonight when I get home. Hope to statrt fabrication for shifters, floorboards and all Monday while trying to get driveshafts built to pickup on Tuesday......

Ordered parts two months out and I'm still trying to get everything done in two days  Doesn't seem to do any good to plan "well in advance" ..... just to it all the week before :D

A HUGE thanks to Erik & Rob for all the help!!!!!!!

DIdn't quite make it home on Sunday huh! WELLLLLLL.. A very long day.. Special thanks go out to Rob! A bandsaw and a lathe and you can build a toybox from pieces in a day!

Poor Mike had to drive to KC twice over the weekend but it's TOGETHER! We all parted ways about 2AM this morning but the hunk of steel and alum in the back of Mike's truck was all worth it.. A competed H42, 4.7 Toybox, Split case complete with working shifters! He was last seen heading home to stab the pieces, fix the girls breakfast and go get driveshafts shortened.
Phone call from Mike on Sat afternoon.. Ready to throw in the towel! Rumor has it Debbie told him to call? DUNNO If that's correct.. But Apparently Debbie wanted this truck DONE! and DONE to WHEEL! SO... Call to Rob for some time in the lab.. And Voila..

Long story short Mike was missing the actual modified Mini Doubler Case.. So we had to "Slice" a minitruck box (I no longer have!) into pieces.. I know kinda painful but desperate times call for desperate measures! With the Slices of minitruck case we were able to chuck it up in Rob's lathe and machine the input gear hole to fit the larger "Toybox" bearing. Rob did an excellent job clearancing the case for the 4.7 gears etc..

ROB! THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR GIVING UP YOUR WHOLE SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING AND NIGHT!

Ok. I just can't stand it anymore and am leaving the office.. If anyone needs anything let me know by 11:00 AM tomorrow or get ahold of Chris Rech and he'll let me know. See everyone at camp! Rob, Randy and I are heading out tomorrow at noon..

The 80 sprung an exhaust leak last weekend, so I guess I'm just gonna sound like a tractor at FN...

Anyone got a spare 80 y pipe (don't know if that's where the leak is, but its a common spot on 80's)? :D

Many thanks to Rob, Erik and Don to get my junk out of the garage, where it has been since FN '06...... It drove out under it's ownn power this evening and will be on the trailer in the morning.

This has been a very trying time to get the ToyBox installed. It just proves that this hobby/sport is not about the vehicle, makes or models.........

It's all about the people!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank y'all!!!!!

Y'all have a great time, try not to break your junk too much and take lots o pics for those that couldn't make it.

Packed and ready, but tow vehicle again has diesel puddle under it...... I use to love ford diesels. This one sucks! Leaking around the pump somewhere again. I may still make it. Not sure I want to drive the 60 there and back.
