Brain trust, it has been a while.
A few months ago, I had a CNS pop up. I already had an EFI bypass kit installed. Checked that and found the inline fuse coming off of the 20 amp fuse provision in the fuse box was melted. Swapped in the old EFI relay (and a new 20 amp fuse) and truck cranked and ran perfect, so I parked it in my lot. Went to start it up again the next day, and the CNS was back. Ordered another bypass kit, installed it, and the CNS continued. Now I’m stumped. Left for some trips and the LC was parked. This was September.
Fast forward to the wild Toyota deals in November and I ordered a brand new fuse box from Toyota. No more bypasses! I finally got around to installing it today, along with a new battery, and still have the CNS. Swapped the EFI relay with bypass. Still CNS.
Security light turns off with the key in the ignition, so it’s not the immobilizer.
Ideas? I really want to get the old girl back on the road.
