You laugh... wait till one of the 1fz dies (if ever).... can you say 3.3 common rail cummins.. dodge trans and an stax transfer case.... the budget master (Cathy) may have a problem with it because the motor is about 4.k alone...but its good to dream....
That is a fine dream indeed Ray. Since I can't afford it either it also allows me to dream vicariously through you.
Don't forget a new rear axle with a centered diff.

with paint and bed decking... this is where I am at now... hanging the front sheet metal tomarrow... Today Cathy helped me cover all the interior plastic with marine grade vinyl.. the cummins swap will have to wait untill after the move... the 6.5 gm motor still runs well so it will stay for a while longer..

well its done, all painted and put back together and I just finished driving it 500+ miles to reno.. drove great and got about 18 mpg not bad for a 9k pound truck, I forgot to mention that I got a great deal on the seats and console out of a 2007 chevy, cathy took some pix before I left of the finished product and I will post them

Two things...
First, looks like you have one helluva nice truck... (but I'm biased!)
Second, was the 2007 seat swap direct bolt in? (that would be nice and easy replacement/upgrade for the monster bench of vinyl that I have in mine... Momma would like that I'm SURE.)
Mine weighs in at 8400...

someone remined me I haven't updated this... so here are some more pix.. will have to put this all together over on Competion diesel in order...
320hp cummins motor and recipent..
had to cut the cross member 4" and reinforce so I could get the pan off in the truck( hope I never have to ..

front end ..
and a trick from rustytlc of battle born cruisers,, black appliance paint makes a great chasis black.. and it cheep.. and resists welding splatter alot better than por 15...
and yes I cleaned and painted the frame and front suspension..
the radiator support is modded for the intercooler, it has some peices that arn't there..
