North Houston, TX: 1976 FJ40 project - SOLD
SOLD - I have finally accepted that I need to sell my project. Work, family/kids, time, and other projects/hobies have resulted in it just taking up space in garage and me dropping a few $ on it when i get my hopes up from time to time.
1976 fj40. Calfornia original. Brought with me when I moved back to Texas.
Bought it and drove it for a while just before my son was born in Nor Cal, with hopes of restoring it for my son one day. There were tons of PO **** that I have just never had the time to get to.
Have since acquired a 97 80 series collectors edition for my wife, and a 2000 tacoma, with a combined 500,000 miles between the two that take most of my time and money to enjoy and maintain.
Mustard 1976, 2F, 4 speed, 76 Aisin carb.
Early model small dizzy with pertronix
Rust in all the usual places, quarter panels under the diamond plate, rear wheel wells, sill, and little on floor pans.
I removed hard top a couple of years ago, have all pieces.
Sadly, PO cut roof and had sun roof put in.
Doors have some rust at bottom.
Had the radiator reworked and new hoses and belts
It is currently sitting on trailer wheels/tires but I have set of 5 OEM steel wheels with clips and caps.
Set of seat belts. New blinker lenses. New side view mirrors
3 jump seats.
It runs from time to time. Had it running a few weeks ago, but could not get it started this morning. I'm tired.
$ 2000 takes it all.
I could part it all out but I dont have the time or energy any more.
