Non TRD SC 80

I may be lookin at a non TRD super charged 96 80 with 50,000 mi on it this week.
Does a SC motor need premium fuel?
Do they get better or worse mpg's?
Who makes SC for the 80 other than Toyota?

What should I look for when checking the SC motor?
Should I pass on it or look into it?

They probably think the Kazuma SC isn't a TRD, they are one in the same. You'll need to run premium fuel. And gas mileage will depend on the right foot.

Some pictures of this mystery engine would help identify the blower.

A very long time ago, I know that "Cameron Concepts" produced SC's for the 1FZ but TRD bought them out and C/C no longer makes them. It would have to be a very early '80 or at least a very early SC.
