A Arizona phenomenon I'm told: residents hoping for rain and "weather"

I grew up thinking that running around outside in the rain with a stupid grin was perfectly normal....

I didn't grow up with it, but once I moved here running around in the rain seamed like a perfectly logical thing to do.

The weather channel has reduced the changes of rain since yesterday for the Phoenix area and our location on the rim.:( Earlier this summer I mentioned to someone in the valley I couldn't to get back up north where it was raining every day. She looked at me like I was nuts. Down side is the forest service roads were muddier then usual. But still worth to get the rain. Currently have our roof loaded with new shingles waiting for a clear window to strip and install a new roof.

I remember when one of these was going to dump on Tucson and Phoenix. It made a curve ball and went through Yuma and crapped out. I have a feeling this one is planning on giving Deming NM a soak. Hope I am wrong, getting rained out at work and getting home early to make chili and cornbread sounds good to me.:bounce::bounce2:

Nice day, we shut down early. The well equipment at work gets a needed break, there is chili on the stove, and poppers ready for the smoker.

Poppers.webp

Whoever did the rain dance, thank you!

In norther Michigan we did this when we saw the sun, so I get it.

Light rain all day. The youngest was disappointed, "I thought you said it was going to be windy!"
