I went wheeling in my back alley, hit some snow, yeah took it off some sweet jumps.

From the looks of your recent post count Dan, looks like there's LOTS of wheelin.

too bad it's the WEB kind.:o

Buy my crap.

I went on a Club wheeling trip with my daughter last Sunday on the skating rink from 264th to 200th. Made it to Timmy's at 200th without taking any trail damage which was a lot better than most. However, the trip leader decided out end the outing before we got to our destination. They had to close down the trail for a while it was soooo nasty. Bugger, nothing worse than getting up early for my daughter's soccer game on a Sunday morning and having it cancelled.;p

This is a slow time of year for most members, they are busy with Xmas and family affairs. At our next meeting on Jan 10 we can plan a run, possibly to Clear Creek.

An early Feb, Sunday run, sounds good to me. Mat will finally get to use his new chains and maybe I will have my Nokians by then.

Kim, you were talking about leading a clean-up run somewhere. I'd be game to do a run over Christmas sometime.

BTW, it looks like the boys over at BC4x4 are trying to get another HAM course on the go for early 2008.

I'm working just about every day over the Christmas 'holidays'. It may be that I only get Christmas day off.

I think the first opportunity for me to get out may be mid-January, although Dec 30 may work. I'll know more after next Saturday.

I suspect that the first destination would be the Stave Lake area. There's gold in them thar hills, dontcha know.

I was up at Clear Creek last Sunday (9th).

MOF went in to repair last winters washouts back in the summer, and the road has had a couple washouts in the same spots since. They blocked the access to the old road at the bottom end. There are only two real obstacles at this point, neither is very low-slung or long wheelbase friendly. I made good use of my step/slider with my low rider 40. Trail was ice with about 4" snow cover. The tubs were in good shape and not much garbage I could see, just packed out some empties.

Anyhow, lets hope for some big weather in the next month (rain or snow) to make it a decent run in Jan/Feb, like it was last year.

Okay. I went for a short run today up to the top of Sumas Mountain. It wasn't planned. We just went out for a drive and my wife said she'd like to be on top of a mountain. There is about 2 feet of snow up at the radio tower. Saw two other trucks at the top. Also saw some guys on the way up on mountain bikes. Guess they were running Nokian studded becuase they were climbing pretty good in the snow. Next weekend I'll have my new Nokian studded on so hope there is a bit more snow to see what they can do.

How about the 31st of December? I don't feel like going back to work for the Monday and then have Tuesday off. The last couple of years I've gone up Vedder Mt. with some guys on this day. It's not difficult, some fun side trails and it's short so you can get back for the New Years party you are committed to.

If I ever get around to getting my '40 down to Steves for the roof fixin's, I'll make it out for a winter run, otherwise I don't have enough meat on my bones to run topless in this weather.
And I'm still shopping for an 80 with cozy heated seats, perhaps there will be one under the tree for me.
