Had intermittent death. Changed coils, worked OK. Now intermittent start issues.
New coil had radio interference so I added a condenser. Seemed to work OK
Now it won't start. Both coils checkout: new 3.9 ohms, and 9.5 K ohms
old 2 ohms, and 10.7k ohms
BUT

Tried the battery to coil+ and momentary coil- to ground..........no spark on either coil. This sounds like two bad coils?

I can go to Toyota for a new coil
but could it be my Fireball ignition??

Yes. The stock ignition is quite reliable in general; I would go back to stock as a starting point. But like @ceylonfj40nut said, what year is your 40, what engine, etc.?
