I just picked up another fj70. It was running when I purchased it but a few days later I cant get it to run again. I have checked plugs, wires, cap and rotor all in good condition. I took off the coil from my other FJ70, a flamethrower, and still it doesnt seem to produce spark.
Im fairly certain its an electrical issue. I have yet to reset the timing as I dont have the right socket.
As far as I can tell the fuses arent blown.
With a flamethrower coil and points, should I retain the ballast resistor?
Should I pull the dizzy and reset the timing or leave it in place and check the timing?
_____
On another note since Im here. Anyone have any experience importing to the states? Im in the Caribbean and have 2 1991 Fj70 with the 3F. Not the best condition but, with the two trucks I think one could restore one truck fairly easily. Any idea how that would work?

Thanks for any help guys Ih8mud is a great resource
