bdladd, having same no sound issue on 2013 LX570. Thanks for info, just to clarify: how to remove that cover-what tool to use, I tried to push with hooked screwdriver, did not go,and afraid to push harder. Thank you
I used a plastic trim tool to remove that cover on the ceiling.

To add to this, my volume knob does not work ....a local stereo expert. Thinks the radio itself could be bad. What a never ending nightmare...
My radio does fine for about an hour. Then that starts happening...

I am having a similar problem. I have already tested the amplifier with OEM Auto Audio, as mentioned previously in this thread, Joe over there knows his stuff. He even predicted it wasn't the amp. Gone try to Hotwire the DVD next. I will report back if that solves it.

Fixed it!!! The dvd in the back was disconnected. I reconnected it and now it’s perfect

If anyone has this problem, it was the DVD player in the back. I unplugged the wires abs turned it on Via remote. All good now. Thanks for the help everyone.
Where are the wires for the rear DVD that you unplugged / plugged back in? I have no volume control or sound on the ‘13 LC I just bought. New, property battery installed today. The dealer I bought it from had thrown in a tiny Napa battery that was causing voltmeter to bounce around a tad. The new battery made the voltmeter stay constant but didn’t solve my no volume problem.

Anyone jump the wire on a 2011 LX570 rear roof screen? 2011 plug is different than LC when I look into mine.

Did you get any resolution to this problem? My stereo is intermittently starting to fail. It used to be the "audio off" issue and still happens every once in a while but eventually turns on. I saw the thread about jumping the DVD head unit which I will do. Now the buttons on the radio, volume knob, cd, aux, am/fm buttons don't respond but the on screen controls still work and steering wheel controls work.

Those people are fabulous. They talked me through what was my problem with the same symptoms you have. IT was the DVD player that had died, and need to be bypassed. It seems like a pretty common failure point.

Here is how I resolved mine. I have a 2013 LX with ML sound system and DVD entertainment. First, let's make sure the symptoms are the same.
1. No sound, no matter the audio system's mode. Not even beeps from the touchscreen input.
2. No numbers or scale when turning the volume control knob up and down
3. The screens for the backseat would not turn on. They were dead.
4. I Had the amp checked by United audio in NY. Amp checked good.

The fix:

TOYOTA 86104-60010 CONTROLLER SUB-ASSY

I was very reluctant to spend over $1000.00 on a guess. I also had my local Toyota dealer troubleshoot it for a couple of days and they insisted it was the amp.

This piece is under the front passenger seat.

Reach out if I can help.

Bumping this thread because it seems like I have the same issue but I have a 2013 LX with the ML sound.

To anyone that needed to replace this part, how were you able to figure out that this was the problem?.

I am having the same issue in my 2014 LC
I think my rear screen is done but want to test before sending it off.

A thought I had, could someone (smarter than me) make a jumper plug for testing? Instead of the wires below, a mate for the plug that does the jumping for you.

aka - plug and play and see if the sound comes back on.

I am having the same issue, did someone find a bypass for the MOST on a 2013 LC 200?
My issue turned out to be a loose connection behind head unit. Unplug all the connectors and plug them back in snuggly and see what happens- if you haven’t already tried that.
