Maybe the 95 runner uses a relay for headlight control then. It is not that way on my 85 or 92.

looks like a common issue, my 87 runner has the same issue, but I haven't had time to look into it yet.
is there any way this is a 3rd gen 4runner? there are the 1995+ taco based runners out there.

not that i know of, it looks like 90-95 4 runner, i can say some of the electrical components from the 90 i stripped will not work in this truck.

ok i found a switch, for a half way decent price, so i am going to try it out and see what happens.
I have the same problem with my '84 F 60. For a while the high beam was sporadic. . now I have no high beam (and no inspection). I'll try and pull and check switch. Thanks everyone.

i am hoping to get back into this one soon, too much to do, too little time to do it in.
