Hi all, out of the blue I have no heat in the front cabin of my 2015 200 series. The blower works fine, heat blows from the backseat console just fine, but cold air blows from the front vents. Coolant level is good, A/C blows cold. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

One quick thing to check with HVAC problems is to make sure the cabin filter is seated properly and the FRESH/RECIRC mechanism is working correctly. Put the system in RECIRC, access the filter area behind the back of the glove box, and check to see if the filter is ok and if the FRESH/RECIRC door works ok when you hit the FRESH button. Don’t move that change door by hand. Problems there can lead to odd HVAC issues.

Thank you, I’ll do this tomorrow. I’ve had oil change places pull filter without asking and I’m thinking they could potentially have damaged something. Does that sound feasible?

Is any heat coming from the passenger side front? I had an issue where my driver side both front and back were not heating. A coolant flush took care of it (I did it as part of a radiator replacement)

Nope, cold air only front the front on both sides

For sure. The mechanism is all too frequently broken so the change door no longer works. That can mess up the sensors. The problem is ignorant techs force the door up when the system is in FRESH and break the door hinge.
