NO FUEL PUMP ON 1991 hdj81 :/ just got a long ranger tank thought it would fit !!!

Hi Jurassic cruiser,I dunno how low will the stock subtank sit,I think it will be too low with the added water tank.
I can prob make a water n fuel tank that fits under the truck,prob not a good idea to make one tank with two compartment,prob build two separate tanks n tie them together.

OK, here are my thoughts...

Toyota fuel gauge sending unit, I can purchase the sender and install it. If you drill/tap the holes that'd be handy
Skidplate= Yes

Same as above, I have a Toyota sub tank sending unit and pick up already. Just need tank and skid.

Do you have pictures how it attaches? I have added and omitted a few things in the back of my truck namely the rear cross member and added a bumper with integrated tow bar. Does this tank attach to the frame or body? I'm hoping it's the frame.

I have the tank bolted to both sides of the frame,using some of the existing threaded holes at the back of the frame for the tow hooks,and have to drill two holes per side vertically through the frame.

OK when it warms up back there would love to see some pictures. Like I said I will be back there this summer possibly in the truck so fitting at that time maybe possible depending on cost and if I actually drive it out.

My thoughts are similar, but I have no need for a sending unit provision to be pre-installed. I do want a skidplate.

I would be open even to just purchasing a custom water tank that would sit below the factory 13 gallon sub tank I figure the 13 gallon can fit with a spare under neath it so seems like I could get at least 20 gallons of water down there.

also a custom split tank would be great as well if you wanted to make it. as far as I can say...at this point with the cruisers...if someone can make me what I want and do a good job im down the pay the $$$$$

I retro fitted the oem diesel sub tank kit to my 80. I use it all the time. Ond of the best mods ive done.

I have the 90 liter (23.7 usgal) sub tank from Long Range Automotive. They made it to order and takes 3 weeks to ship. The kit came complete with the double fuel filler, transfer pump, hoses, clamps, wiring, fuel switch/gauge indicator (4 LEDs show 1/4 tank increments. The pump transfers fuel at a rate of 2 liters a minute from the sub tank to the main tank - so it pushes up the fuel gauge needle up by a 1/4 tank in 10 minutes. I have a combined fuel capacity of 185 liters (48.9 usgal) and a range 850 miles(1,400 km). I imported the kit from from Australia, because an importer from Las Vegas said he could get them, but when I was ready to order he said he is no longer bringing them in.
