Considering my LX is driven primarily on pavement these Recon’s are just right. I still can’t get over how quiet they are. Had the guys
at IPOR fold the pinch weld for clearance.

This truck is absolutely beautiful, classy, rugged and timeless. All at the same time. Perfection.
Please take good care of it, I hope you still have it!
 
Following. The Ridge are amazing for the uses they target. Another option? Hmm...it needs to be the bees knees for many to change over, including myself.
I am getting ready to by a set of tires for my 2005 and adding a 2” lift. I am looking at both the Nitto Ridge Grapplers and Nitto Recon Grapplers both in a 275/70R18. Can anyone speak to the difference in these tires from both an off-road performance and a highway performance? The Ridge Grapplers looks much more aggressive. Is the Recon Grappler significantly more quiet? I read the review, but like someone said, it will likely be biased.
