Sounds like we'll have a good turnout. Hope you can make it down too Jon, would be nice to see you.

I'll bring my laptop with backroads mapbook on it so we can talk about wheeling routes for Sunday's run.

I'll bring my ipad, I think I might actually have a card reader/usb for it. forgot I had it. See you tomorrow night. I'm going to spend the
day down there. I've got swing arm pivot to pick up at the airport from Reevesci.

Jon, if you can, pick this up when you are in Victoria: http://www.usedvictoria.com/classified-ad/Garmin-Nuvi-255W_23448876 Buy a 4GB or so SD card also, and I can put BC maps on it for you. You'll have equivalent to a $400 setup (compared to new cost of maps/gps).

Hmm. We have that exact gps I think...

Not to mention my tablet that has a proper gps in it.

I'd love to get those maps too. Perhaps it should be in your permanent "going to a meeting" kit...

Sure, I could set you up. It's basically just a matter of writing the files to a SD card for your GPS. Will bring a laptop with the files to the next meet up your way. Or you could come wheeling this weekend...

I think I can download the SD card onto my ipad. It is GPS software equipped with my flight planning program. I'll try
that first. I used 1:50,000 VFR maps in the chilcotin, worked pretty good

I have a bunch of usb sticks, so I can grab the files that way...

As for wheeling....Kinda blew my cruiser budget and tolerance for driving last night on a road trip to CR for a wooden box....but gawddamn is it a nice wooden box. :grinpimp:

Haha! Sounds good man.

Woah.... I thought I was in the 80 series tech section there for a minute......

Ill make this meeting.... I gotta see that SOA fj/bj 60 up close. Might be nice to catch up with the rest of you as well as long as Ryan leaves his new banjo at home. :flipoff2:

Easy now there Mr. 5" exhaust.

Hows that expression go again? People in Douched up Dodges shouldn't throw small black computer modules out of their engine bays? :flipoff2:

I'm working. So I don't even need to make up a lame excuse this time.

Keep saving your pennies Deliverance boy....... Eighties are expensive.

Nice to see you all. Also good to see the old school representing well these days... 3 -60 series, 3-70 series, and a 40 series.

Ya, awesome turn out. Great seeing that 40 show up unexpectedly, and such a nice rig at that. Looking forward to the next one, hopefully this Sunday!

Was a great meet last night! Had eight bodies initially, and then had one more fellow (Nik82BJ42) stop by near the end of the meet.

We had slowandsteadyBJ (ex BJ60), cruiserpilot (HJ60), Sweatyforehead (HJ60), franken60 (BJ60) and his friend (owns an FJ45), Koopz (HZJ73), Gsb15 (BJ70) and gtssportcoupe (LJ78). And then Nik82BJ42 (BJ42) stopped by near the end of the meet.

Discussion was lots of tech, catch up, and chat with the new guys. We also briefly discussed the run that will happen this Sunday. I'll post more in that thread later today.

Thanks everyone for coming out.

Glad I was able to stumble upon the meeting out of nowhere! Great bunch of cruisers and guys. Looking forward to future meets and trips.

-That young guy with the 40 (Nik)
