Hey guys! I’m just signed up here to get some tips tricks and be able to read through some forums. I recently bought a 1980 Toyota Truck with a 22r and g54 swapped in. The truck is fairly clean but definitely needs some love.

I own a 2001 Tacoma now that I’ve been building but I am so tired of the ifs and not willing to long travel so I found me a solid axle!

I have rebuilt my steering gear and ordered some smog plates from lce while I tinker around.

Thought I’d introduce myself and glad to be off of tacomaworld.

Welcome! Nice truck. I too have a 1980 4x4 but the drivetrain is all stock. Where did you find the truck? This is mine, short VIN, dual latch early tailgate, vent and sliding rear windows, AC, PS, tilt column, 20R and a 4-speed.

Damn that’s a nice truck!

I found it just outside of Las Vegas. I do not have ac which is a huge problem since it’s ungodly hot so I’ll have to piece that together asap. No idea what to get and where to get though, so that should be fun.

Thanks. A/C components shouldn't be too bad. Do you want to go full OEM or aftermarket? I've heard the hardest part is the compressor mounting bracket. Since it's a 22R and there were millions made even a Celica bracket should work. I know where I might be able to find one...

I’m not too sure, probably which ever one blows colder haha if you have any info on any parts I welcome suggestions! I can gather all the pieces slowly

I have a friend here in Phx with a Celica parts car that had a 22R and AC. I verified he still has it.

I sent you a PM.
