Yes, the UZJ100 Land Cruiser and the Lexus LX470 are the same for that year.
Try looking at Slee Off Road Bumpers to see the different styles and fits.
The hoods open but you have to deal with leaning over it to work/check on things. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

Whoa there. You might want to get in touch with Christo Slee first. From what I've been told the ARB Deluxe Bull Bar will NOT fit an LX. Only the Sahara bar is made for the LX. Supposedly there are some mounting points that are different between the 2 models. I've been dying for something similar to a full bull bar but it's just not out there for an LX.

Then why is it listed under the LC and LX: if it did not fit wouldn't ARB seperate it from the LX470?

Good question, but I'd say that's a good question for ARB, not me. I've asked a few times and keep getting told that they have different mounting points. It's a very shady subject for some reason. Heck I started looking into this before Ih8mud even had a 100 series board! I'd love to have a good looking combo bar but I think it'll have to be custom made to look good with the lines of the LX anyhow.

It's worth looking around. Personally even if it doesn't mount the same I would think you could get a combo bar for a 100 LC, and have a shop fab up a custom mount. I'm not a fab guy but seems plausible to me.

This half tried it and it does not work. I tried both the early model Deluxe bar and the later model Combination bar and neither worked on the 98 LX470.

Christo, do you think a moderately skilled fabricator could easily make either the ARB Deluxe or TJM T3 fit the LX? I'm wondering what exactly is reason why they don't fit. The mounts are the same, right? Is the headlight/grill area lower on the LX?sleeoffroad said:
The Aussie to whom I spoke with at ARB in Seattle told me the same thing, that the deluxe bar/bullbars won't fit the LX. He couldn't tell me why it wouldn't fit, just that it wouldn't fit.
BTW, the Man-a-fre P/N in their computer for the 03 LX sahara bar is wrong. There are two sahara bars for the LX, one for '98-02 and the other for 8/02-05. I had MAF call to confirm the correct P/N w/ ARB (and I did the same independently). When you get the bar, inside the wing, there's a sticker that says what year/model it's for. The instruction manual also says it on the front. I got the correct bar from MAF despite the description on the invoice saying it's for the 98-02.

It is not just the hood. The mounts may or may not be able to be modified. I can't recall the details on that. However the front facia on the car is totally different. The curves is different and the LX has a lip that runs all the way round the front. The bar would have to be cut a lot to make it fit.
When we had it, we looked at it and decided it was going to be to much of a PITA.

I thought the main problem with the bumper was that the Cb Antenna mounts had to be cut off, so the hood could function!
