I have seen a number of posts with great looking US HZJ75LVs. A few LHD, most RHD. Has anyone seen one with the pop top conversion already done stateside? Is there anyone in the US that does them? I'm wondering if it would be more cost effective to buy and convert or keep looking for one that's already done?

It will be more cost effective if you can find a nice one with not much use, but the downside is they can be hard to find. Personally, I find cutting holes in the roof a bit sad. Unless you want to use it constantly, I would look at roof top tents. I dont like the idea of cooking inside.
The other option is to get a 75 series cab chassis and build your own slide on/off camper.

I have a new JB evasion now and have had others in the past. I got to drive one with a conversion done today and I am hooked. Not interested in a full camper in the rear. Not yet anyway.
