So bought the last 9500 Powerplant Compressor winch in Canada - prod. date ended 2018. It was brand new in box inside display box. Kinda cool as I’ve had 14 yrs of reliability from that old one on my 60. This one going on new VDJ78. Couple years ago I helped a guy in Vancouver get rid of some stuff in anticipation of converting. So here I am and want to know opinion of this roller fairlead I got. It’s Daystar and has rubber/synthetic rollers. I can get an aluminum hawse easily enough for cheap but I like rollers for those ‘never straight ahead’ pulls. So here is a pic of both new and old. Be curious of opinions if anyone has experience with these roller fairlead as with synthetic line.

I have used a standard Warn steel roller fairlead with synthetic line for 15 years now with zero problems, FWIW.
