Hi guys,

After an exhaustive search for some wheels, I just took delivery of these and I like them a lot. I looked hard for plain black wheels without fake bolts or bead locks, and chrome or machined accents. I just wanted a strong, simple and relatively inexpensive wheel. The wheels are Granite Alloy GA640 in matte black. +25 offset. 28.4 lbs (verified). 2600 load rating. They are Chinese, but seem to have the right certifications and stampings.

The powder coating is pretty darn good with one tiny blemish on the first wheel I looked at. I also really like how the center cap is attached with two real hex nuts. I may run them without the center cap, but I its nice they are securely attached.

It will be next week before I get them mounted, but I will be sure to post pics. I figured others might want to see actual pics in our size and offset since the websites never show your actual wheel.

Cool, what tires are you going with?

Most definitely nice looking rims. Are these 18s?

Yes. 18 x9. Tires will be 275/70-18 Toyo Open Country AT2. Ordered them today.

With the more aggressive offset, I will surely need to lose the mudflap and perhaps do a little plastic surgery in the fender well. Esp. with no lift yet. Still shopping for that.

My Cruiser arrives via transport on Thursday! I am pumped.

Those will look nice on the white, but even better on my Twilight Grey Lexus.... hint... ;-)

I vote for no center cap.

OK guys. I finally got the wheels mounted. Tires are Toyo 275 70 r18 Open Country ATII. Wheels are +25 offset so I had to remove mud flaps and trim a little of the fender liner to avoid the very slight rubbing. I am pretty pleased with how they look and push the wheels a hair further than flush with the wheel wells. As you can see, I blew off the center caps and spray painted the rear hubs black. :)

A 1-2" lift will be next, but I am now rub free even at stock height. Still evaluating options, but don't want much of a lift.

Very sharp!!!!!

They have been great. I have two sets, one with winter tires. I have wheeled them, so the powder coat has taken some hits here and there, but no complaints. I would get them again. I think they are a bargain.

Just remember, the decreased offset and bigger tires are hard on wheel bearings. Getting ready to do my fronts, but the truck has 60K miles so nothing crazy on that front either...

I had been considering these off and on since I had my 100 series due to price and specs. The pics without the center caps look awesome. I'm glad this thread got bumped back up!

Looks great! I am looking for some similar more simple wheel with not as aggressive offset. With AT tire and current offset just watch fenders. Rocks will cause paint chips and corrosion. That is a primary reason I am looking for smaller offset

Is there any back story on Granite Alloy? I can't find anything official about them on the web that's not from online dealers.

I was wondering the same thing. Haven’t been able to find anything online regarding the company and its wheel specs. It is a Good looking wheel and I’d consider it as an option for a second set of wheels, like for snow tires, At least until more details are known I wouldn’t use it for wheeling.
