I found some new wheels for the UZJ100. Bought 5 of them, so here they are.
I also added:
- 2.5" suspension form Just Diff's
- Upper Control Arms from Just Diff's
- Diff drop from BumpIt

(not yet installed, but in the garage: TJM from locker, front and rear gears, ARB CKMTA12 compresser, yes that's the monster twin unit)

The wheels are by Method Racing 17x8.5, the tires are BFG KM2 17x35"
I purchased these from: Tire & Wheel Service, Installation & Accessories - Signature Performance Tire & Wheel - Orange County
The wheels are not pre drilled with a bolt pattern so there are a large variety of fitting options. Signature Performance had the bolt pattern drilled out to 150x5 for me.
Rob at Signature Performance was great to work with.
Price: about $190.00/wheel drilled and ready to go!

BTW: those chrome wheels are for sale, 5 of them with the tires still on them. That's what was on the Hundy when I bought it.

Some more pics showing offset and stance.
Note: there is NO rubbing at lock-to-lock. I did have to pound back the welded body seam at the back of the front fender and I will have to do a body lift. Refer to my previous thread about Venturing into rarefied air 2" body lift.

Looks great!; nice to see another riverrock LC on the road. I go down to LA often bro! We should meet up and go off-road! (few buddies of mine live over there and last month we hit up lake arrowhead!)

Holy crap! Those are the same dubs that came on my riverock LX! We were almost twins :)
Before and now.

OK... This is a little weird... Are we in an alternate universe?:hhmm:
AND we both had the presence of mind to jettison those wheels and get black/dark ones on.

I like you already  (in a manly, shake the hand and do the body slam thing kind of way...)

BTY, Location says middle of the Pacific, are you in Hawaii? My daughter is going to Calvary Bible College on Maui and she loves wheel'n too! She used to have a 1st gen 4Runner before she went off to school.

Yup over on Oahu. Traded my dubs to a tundra owner for his steelies and got these wheels from paflytyer.

Looks really clean...I'm kinda partial to Procomp 7028 series (all black), but rims would only be available as 18" for the 5x150 BC. And, they have no idea when the next batch will be available. I did find out Method is in Temecula...and was eying their Double Standard rims - similar to the 7028, but more spokes. Might need to contact them and see about a custom set. Hmmm....

Are these wheels forged or cast?

I too saw many wheels that I would love to get. Fuel makes some great looking wheels! but I had a certain criteria for my wheels.
1. Must be no larger than 17" DIA. Reason: That is by far the most popular tire size for off-road tires. If I should ever have a tire issue in the middle of no where, a 17" tire in my size is the best chance of finding it there. Also, as you go up tire size, the price per tire in the rediculous goes up to the absurd price range. That's one reason I launched those chome 20" wheels. 35" MT was about $400.00 to $500.00 per TIRE!!!

2. Must be as narrow as possible, hence the 8.5" wide. Reason: I like relatively narrow mud terrains tires and the narrower the rim the less likely when you air down, that you will pop a bead off the rim.

3. Must have the 150mm x 5 bolt pattern. Reason: I will not redrill my lug pattern. I did it once and didn't really care for it. Also, what pattern would I use?? Chevy, Ford, Toyota 6 lug pattern??

4. Must be affordable. Reason: I can't really afford the cost of something that parallels with the birth of my first born child. I really like the TRD wheels, but gosh, those are expensive!!

5. Must NOT have any or absolutly minimal chrome of any kind. Reason: I DON'T LIKE IT. Nuff said.

6. Must have Matt Black paint. Reason I LIKE IT!!!! Nuff said.

That really narrows down the wheels offered.

I don't really know, but I did want a strong wheel and was told that Method does make racing wheels and that they are strong. My guess is that they are cast. But there are different casting methods that will produce either a stronger or weaker wheel. Rob at Signature Performance Tire I believe knows the people at Method and he could tell you.
