I think I solved the issue of the 1fz for now.

Runs a lot better , I've been told the VAF needed attention even tho I cleaned it... Nothing to lose , I opened the cover to see what's going on inside.

Pretty clean ... Nothing broken I decided to mess with the gear for the spring tension ...

I tried to lean it first 3 cog ... Problem stayed but was a lot more present so I backed up 6 cog .

No more hesitation , no more miss at idle . At least for now 🤞

From what I understood it control the voltage at the pump ? That would explain the surge feeling ... Correct me if I'm wrong

Considering the age of the truck, that VAF might come from another Toyota I don't know

Went out today , almost killed my front left axle ahaha. Birfield is probably broken, that thing slaps 😅

Anyway that was a lot of fun , the truck run better but I haven't cancelled the LS swap idea....

Few pictures of today's ride :)

Fuel pressure test came out weird... So I decided to open the fuel tank lid ... Not disappointed ...

Definetly seen worse but .....

That's right in front of the pickup tube hole . So ordered a new pump and strainer , gasket for the pump . Injectors seals to get them cleaned and tested.

While there ordered left birfield and knuckle kit ... Tie rods .... Steering wheel cover to stitch on ... Front mudflaps flare molding and washer diverter valve ....

It's a Civic month ... I want it to run fine for summer expeditions and camping :)
