New seat belts

Has anyone ever tried to use a fabric or vinyl paint to paint badly faded seat belts?

How long have the belts been in the vehicle? At least one study puts the life limit of a seatbelt at 10 years, or when it shows fraying or significant fading. This is a safety item and seatbelts are easy and inexpensive to replace.

Once I have tried but it looks very dirty so Finally I changed the idea of paintings. and purchased new one. As malibugrif told it is better to purchase new one for safety reason.
